I figure I can’t be the only one that doesn’t know everything about EVE. Also this might be a good opportunity to share tricks of the trade and how to’s for producing goods and making profit. Or any other help or how to topics. So feel free to ask questions. I sure intend too. Razz

So I have been trying to figure out how to make a profit so I can make a better mining ship. So far I have been mining and trying to figure out what I can produce with the refined resources that I can sell. But so far I have not really made much of a profit. Do any of you have any suggestions as far as what I can make and what specific asteroid fields you would suggest getting all of the recourses from. At present I only have about 500,000.00 so I can’t really afford any expensive blueprints. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks guys. Very Happy

I would suggest for now save all your ore - when you have a decent stockpile saved up (like 3 or 4 days worth) contact me or one of the others on-line and let us refine it for you.
Try to store it at a fed navy, freedom ext., republic security services NPC station if possible.
We can give you no waste and no tax at these stations (plus a couple more) so giving you more minerals in return for your ore.
If you can find any omber, mine it for the isogen it contains - otherwise plag. or scor. I imagine is as good as any ore.
As far as making stuff - most TI mods you see on the market can also be picked up from destroyed rats on missions so market prices will not be very good as people can get them for free a lot. This said cargo expanders used to be ok for profit but the market prices change to much to be sure.
Short version = mine and save up whatever ore, run some missions and learn salvaging to salvage the rat wrecks you make, some of the materials you get from them can be worth a nice amount.(Also the mods you pick up can be reprocessed for more minerals too)
My 2 cents. Either way welcome to Eve and the alliance and have fun in the game. Smile
